What happens to the people I already follow?
Once you link your Instagram account to Upleap, we automatically protect all the users you were following before joining. That means anyone already on your following list (friends, collaborators, or your favorite meme pages) won’t be touched. We call this the Auto-Whitelist, and it kicks in as soon as you join.
No need to manually mark them. No risk of losing important connections. You’re good to go.
What if I follow new people after I sign up?
If you follow someone manually while Upleap is running, they won’t be added to your whitelist by default. The same goes for anyone who follows you back because of our activity.
Want to make sure those new connections don’t get unfollowed later? Just head to your dashboard and drop them into your whitelist. It only takes a second, and it saves the connection.
Is there a follow limit?
Yep — Instagram won’t let anyone follow more than 7,500 users. If your current count is creeping close to that limit (say, over 6,500), our system won’t be able to do much until you free up some space.
In those cases, you might want to clear out a few older followings before connecting your account to Upleap.
